Is this suitable for the experiment where copper turnings are heated in a tube between 2 syringes, to determine the amount of Oxygen in air (oxidation of copper turnings)?

 

Answer

Yes, this will cope with higher temperature intensive heating which is required for this experiment. Standard borosilicate glass is likely to soften and deform under such intensive heating.
