Sulphuric acid, conc.

Question

With the recent changes in government legislation for Sulphuric acid, will this affect the supply to schools and will we need a licence?

Answer

The change came into force on 01/11/2018 and applies to individual users/members of the public only, who now need a licence in order to possess or buy Sulphuric acid over 15% concentration. Professional users do not need a licence providing they are using sulphuric acid for the purposes connected with their trade or business. Likewise, schools do not need a licence to buy Sulphuric acid.
