S0001041/500ML & S0001041/2.5L

Question

What does this test for and what are the colour changes

Answer

Used to test for reducing sugars. The solution is blue in colour and can change from Blue → Green → Yellow → Orange → Red, depending on the amount of reducing sugars present (blue = no reducing sugars → red = high qty. of reducing sugars). The brick-red precipitate contains Copper (l) oxide.
